Day 3

So sorry for the late post! It has been a very busy few days here in Omaha. So lets get to the recap of day 3...

Recap:

Sarah Shimomura started the day right with an awesome 200 free. She got the 67th fastest time of the meet with a 2:03.23. Shimomura finished her first Olympic Trials with some great times and great races, she should be very proud of herself; I know we are all proud of her!

Kyler Van Swol finished his 200 butterfly in an amazing 2:01.02. AND he placed 30th overall. Van Swol was out strong in a 56.87 which is a good sign for his 100 butterfly on Friday.

Highlight:

The highlight of the day and possibly the entire meet this far is the athlete lounge. USA swimming has really stepped it up and provides only the best for the athletes here. In the lounge there are therapy dogs, smoothies, a photo booth, and a ping pong table. It is pretty easy to forget about the stresses of swimming at such a high level meet with puppies to play with!
